President of Benha University Receives National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education (NAQAAE) Team for Institutional Accreditation of the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra

Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, received the external review team for institutional accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation (NAQAAE), headed by Dr. Abdel Moneim Abdel Bari Abdel Kawi, to review and evaluate the Faculty of Engineering for institutional accreditation.The meeting was attended by Ayman El-Shehabi, Governor of Damietta; Prof.Dr.Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University; Prof.Dr. Gehan Abdel-Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Qady, former President of Benha University; Dr. Mohamed Said, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra; Prof.Dr.Osama Kamal, former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof.Dr.Shaaban Taha, former Vice President of the University; Prof.Dr. Mohamed Ghanem, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at the university; and Dr. Ahmed Attia, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the faculty and institutional accreditation coordinator.The committee included Dr. Amr Mohamed El-Sayed and Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim.
Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy emphasized Benha University's commitment to forming partnerships with civil society institutions in various fields, providing scholarships for students and graduates, and maintaining continuous communication with community stakeholders through regular employment forums and joint training to enhance practical skills efficiency. This aims to support and develop the educational process in accordance with quality standards to elevate and improve the university's institutional and academic reputation, in addition to the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra's role in providing engineering consultancy at the national level.
El Gizawy explained that the university administration has provided all necessary requirements and resources for faculties and programs seeking academic accreditation from NAQAAE, noting that the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra is applying for institutional accreditation after completing the accreditation of all its academic programs. He highlighted the university's commitment to continuing its efforts in applying quality standards to all university faculties and academic programs.
Prof.Dr. Gehan Abdel-Hady stated that the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra has prepared its file for institutional accreditation after fulfilling all required practices and activities for accreditation, pointing out that the university has provided all forms of technical support and follows up on development plans for accrediting all university faculties and programs.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mohamed Ghanem indicated that the external review team will visit the faculty to examine the practical practices, activities, and documents related to institutional accreditation and conduct interviews with all target groups, including faculty leadership, program directors, faculty members, students, administrative staff, alumni, and community stakeholders, in addition to inspecting the infrastructure, laboratories, workshops, and teaching halls.
It is worth noting that the external review team's visit from NAQAAE to the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra will continue until February 16.
