Benha University Wins Gold Medal at the 2026 International Invention Fair in the Middle East, Kuwait Smart Medical Bandage Innovation Using Nanotechnology

Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that the University has been awarded the Gold Medal at the 16th session of the International Invention Fair in the Middle East, held in Kuwait from February 8 to 11, 2026.
The University president extended his congratulations to Prof.Dr. Soad Adel Abdel Rahim, Professor at the Faculty of Specific Education, for winning the Gold Medal with Honors, in addition to the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development Award, for her innovation of a smart medical bandage using nanotechnology to treat diabetic wounds and prevent gangrene at a low cost.
Prof.Dr. El Gizawy emphasized that the University's achievement of the Gold Medal embodies Benha University's scientific expertise and reflects the strength of Egyptian scientific research and innovation on the international stage. He added that the university is working to patent the innovation as part of its role in investing in knowledge, research outputs, and patents.
