Benha University Organized Free Veterinary Convoy in Menyat Al-Sebaa Village in Benha

Under the auspices of:
• Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University,
• Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof. Amani Abbas, Dean of the Veterinary Medicine College,
The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a veterinary convoy in Menyat Al-Sebaa Village, Benha Center, as part of the university's role in community service and preservation.
Prof. Ihab El-Nahas, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, stated that the convoy was coordinated with Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in the presence of Prof. Hani Shams from the Veterinary Directorate in Kalyobiya, who expressed gratitude to Mohamed Mustafa Qandil, Director of the Educational Veterinary Hospital, and the veterinary hospital team and clinical and scientific departments of the college for their efforts in making the convoy a success.
The convoy conducted medical examinations on various animals and provided free treatment for all cases examined. Additionally, it offered veterinary awareness on certain diseases and distributed general guidelines on animal nutrition.
The convoy aimed to conduct examinations and inspections on:
• 91 cases of buffaloes and cows,
• 89 cases of sheep and goats,
• 3 cases of equine species.
It also used ultrasound equipment to examine
• 35 other farm animals
• treated 1,160 cases of poultry (chickens, ducks, and pigeons),
• Performed 2 surgical procedures,
• treated 1 case of a pet animal,
• Providing free medication for all these cases.
