Benha University President Attends Ceremony Celebrating Accreditation of Academic Programs by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation

Prof. Nasser El‑Gizawy, President of Benha University, attended a ceremony marking the accreditation of the university's academic programs by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
The event was attended by Dr. Gehan Abdelhady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Sohair Shaarawy, former Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Mohamed Ghanem, Director of the University's Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center; along with a number of academic and administrative leaders.
In his speech, prof. El‑Gizawy stressed that program accreditation is not a mere formality but a documented recognition that Benha University operates in accordance with national and international standards. He affirmed that the university is capable of preparing graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to compete in the labor market and contribute effectively to national development.
He explained that this achievement clearly reflects the university's efforts to embed a culture of quality assurance and institutional excellence, reaffirming its commitment to advancing education, research, and community service. He extended his thanks to all faculties that achieved accreditation, as well as to academic figures, faculty members, staff, and students who shared in this success.
Dr. El‑Gizawy added that the university will continue to provide full support to all faculties and programs in their pursuit of accreditation and quality assurance, aspiring to make Benha University a model among Egyptian and regional universities.
Dr. Gehan Abdelhady noted that accreditation represents an important step toward excellence and a clear demonstration of the university's commitment to applying quality standards. She emphasized the university's constant dedication to improving performance and enhancing educational outcomes in service of its mission to society and human development. She pointed out that quality has become a cornerstone in the advancement of higher education, ensuring programs that meet labor market demands and keep pace with rapid scientific and technological progress.
Dr. Mohamed Ghanem announced that 43 programs across the university have now been accredited, with plans to accredit additional programs. He stressed that accreditation is a practical process requiring the integration of all faculty administrations to achieve institutional recognition.
The ceremony also honored accredited faculties and programs, including:
Faculty of Engineering (Shoubra) – 14 programs
Faculty of Education – 8 programs
Faculty of Agriculture – 5 programs
Faculty of Science – 4 programs
Faculty of Applied Arts – 2 programs
Faculty of Engineering (Benha) – 2 programs
Faculty members who obtained training certificates from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation were also recognized.
It is noteworthy that the Faculties of Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Engineering (Shoubra), and Science have applied for both institutional and program accreditation, received external review visits, and are awaiting decisions from the Authority's Board of Directors.
