Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, confirmed that online classes will continue after being suspended in-person today and tomorrow due to the expected adverse weather conditions, according to a statement from the General Authority for Meteorology.
Prof. El-Gizawy stated that the faculties have activated online lectures for students according to the approved academic schedules, as part of the university's commitment to maintaining the educational process and providing distinguished educational services to its students.
Prof. El-Gizawy had decided to suspend in-person classes on Wednesday and Thursday across various university faculties and continue with online education due to the adverse weather conditions.
The university president mentioned that this decision was based on forecasts of unstable weather, as per the General Authority for Meteorology's statement. He noted that exceptions would be made for medical staff, university security personnel, dormitory staff, and those working in health and safety management, as well as those whose work requires their presence to ensure effective management of the situation within the university and its faculties.
Prof. El-Gizawy added that university security would take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the campus during the suspension of classes. He expressed hope for the safety of our country, all members of Benha University, and the great Egyptian people from any harm.
