New Achievement: Benha University Ranked in 4 Specialties in the QS Rankings for 2026

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced a new achievement for the university, as it was ranked in four specific disciplines in the QS World Rankings by Subject for 2026, after being listed in one discipline in 2025. The rankings are based on the programs offered by universities for study.
Prof. El-Gizawy explained that the university made a notable achievement by appearing for the first time among 475 universities globally in the Agricultural and Forestry specialty, achieving a ranking of 351-400 globally, and ranking fifth locally among 13 universities.
The university was included among 603 universities worldwide in the Mathematics specialty, ranking 501-600 globally, and locally ranked fifth among seven public and private Egyptian universities.
In the Computer Science and Information Systems specialty, the university ranked among 850 universities worldwide, achieving a ranking of 751-850 globally, and locally ranked seventh among 13 universities.
Furthermore, the university maintained its position among 847 universities globally in the Medical specialty this year, ranking 701-850 globally, while locally it ranked tenth among 12 public and private Egyptian universities.
Prof. Gehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President of the University for postgraduate Studies and Research, indicated that the QS British ranking relies on five criteria: the academic reputation of the program, the reputation of graduates, the volume of citations from research, the H-index indicator, and the network of published research among researchers from multiple countries.
The university president congratulated the academic and administrative leaders, faculty members, and young researchers at the university and the Faculty of Medicine for this distinction.
