“Prof. El-Gizawy”: Emphasized the Importance of the Alliance as a Platform for Experience Exchange and Joint Initiatives in Scientific Research
Benha University participated in the Executive Office meeting of the Silk Road University Presidents, organized by Xi'an University in China. In his speech delivered on his behalf by Prof. Mohamed Farhat Fouda, Prof. Nasser Gizawy, the university president, highlighted the importance of the alliance as an effective platform for exchanging experiences and launching joint initiatives in the fields of scientific research, innovation, and cultural exchange.
Prof. Nasser Gizawy reaffirmed the commitment to continuing the academic and scientific cooperation between universities, adding that the Executive Office meeting of the Silk Road University Presidents is not merely an administrative gathering, but a new step towards enhancing communication bridges between East and West, and affirming the role of higher education in building a more prosperous and integrated future. The university president extended his heartfelt congratulations to Xi'an University on the occasion of its 130th anniversary, recognizing this scientific institution's long history of producing generations of scholars and thinkers, which has been and continues to be a beacon of knowledge and innovation along the Silk Road. He noted that this historic achievement reflects the university's status and leadership.
Prof. El-Gizawy praised the vital role played by sub-alliances within the Silk Road Universities Alliance, which specialize in various scientific fields such as engineering, medicine, humanities, and technological innovation.
He clarified that these sub-alliances are a fundamental pillar in strengthening the shared relationships between universities, as they provide broader opportunities for research collaboration, academic experience exchange, and the development of joint projects that serve the alliance's major goals and enhance its global presence. He pointed out that the sub-alliance in engineering is working on developing solutions for sustainable infrastructure, while the sub-alliance in medicine is launching joint research initiatives on public health and epidemics. The alliances in the humanities contribute to enhancing cultural dialogue and understanding among peoples, and the alliances in technology and innovation drive joint projects in artificial intelligence and clean energy.
