 Benha University Participates in the Eighth International Conference of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority

Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, the University participated in the Eighth International Conference of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Education, titled "Micro-credentials and the National Qualifications Framework... Bridges Across Borders."
The conference was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and was attended by Dr. Alaa Ashmaawy, Chairman of the Board of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Education; the Authority's vice presidents; the President of the Association of Arab Universities; the Governor of Cairo; and a number of university presidents, faculty deans, and Egyptian and international education quality experts.
The conference and workshops were attended by Prof.Dr. Mohamed Mohamedy Ghanem, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at the university, along with a number of faculty members and students from the university's faculties.
The distinguished experience of the initiative "A New Beginning for Quality Assurance in Higher Education" was showcased. Students from Benha University participated in this initiative, which had a positive impact on spreading a culture of quality among university students and activating the role of student participation in implementing quality and accreditation systems and practices, thereby reflecting on improving the quality of education and educational programs.
Prof.Dr. Mohamed Ghanem stated that participation took place in the conference's workshops related to the National Qualifications Framework. These workshops aimed to introduce the National Qualifications Framework and how to register in the framework, which has become a requirement for accreditation and aims to prepare a database of Egyptian qualifications.
The workshops also addressed mechanisms for developing new national academic standards linked to the framework's levels for first-stage university programs.Benha University students also participated in three workshops on the initiative "A New Beginning for Quality Assurance in Education," professional development and micro-credentials, and financial literacy for entrepreneurs and young graduates.
This student participation underscores the role of students in improving and developing the educational process and activates Benha University's strategy to adopt and support student participation, as they are the ultimate beneficiaries of educational development strategies aimed at building their capabilities to compete in the job market.
