Opening of Candidacy for the Deanship of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Benha University

The Committee for Selecting Faculty Deans, chaired by prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announces the opening of applications for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Applications will be accepted from Saturday, May 9, 2026, until Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the university headquarters, Office of the President.
Candidates must submit five copies of their application file (one original and four copies), including:
A formal application request.
An official status statement from the university.
A curriculum vitae supported by evidence.
A work plan outlining areas of weakness, proposed reforms, and development initiatives relevant to the position.
A legal certificate.
Applicants must also provide any additional documents requested by the Supervisory Committee. Each file will be time-stamped and signed by the responsible staff member, who will issue a receipt specifying the file contents and submission details.
Eligibility and Procedures:
Applicants must be serving professors at universities governed by the Universities Organization Law, and must be full professors at the faculty at the time of candidacy.
Candidates must be actively employed at the university when submitting their application.
f A candidate may not have previously held the position of dean by appointment more than once.
Candidates must not have been convicted of a criminal offense or a dishonorable/fraud-related crime unless legally rehabilitated.
Candidates must not have been subject to disciplinary penalties unless annulled, erased, or withdrawn by the competent authority.
Candidates must not hold any partisan position at the time of candidacy or during their tenure.
The committee will review all applications and exclude those not meeting the legal requirements, issuing a reasoned decision recorded in official minutes and notifying excluded candidates within 48 hours. Appeals or grievances must be submitted within one week of notification, and the committee will adjudicate them accordingly.
