Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, emphasized the university's commitment to providing a comprehensive educational environment that addresses academic, health, and psychological aspects, while promoting health and fitness among students, faculty, and administrative staff.
This statement came during his inspection of the outdoor gym units established on Kafr Saad campus to serve the university community. He was accompanied by :
• Prof.Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof.Tamer Arafa, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science, Faculty vices,
• Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The President of Benha University pointed out that the new sports equipment units at Kafr Saad were established through self-efforts and will allow students, faculty, and administrative staff to engage in outdoor sports free of charge. This initiative aims to promote a culture of physical activity, reduce stress, and improve focus and academic performance. Additionally, these facilities will create a space for positive social interaction among university members, reaffirming the university's role in supporting a healthy and balanced lifestyle within the university community.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy conducted a tour of the lecture hall building at Kafr Saad to monitor progress and remove any obstacles to its operation, as it is part of the university's investments. He was accompanied by Prof. Mohamed Saeed, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra and the university's engineering consultant, and Prof. Magdy El-Shahat, Dean of the Faculty of Education. During the tour, the President reviewed preparations for using the new lecture halls this year for the second semester exams for the Faculties of Education and Sports Science, directing the need to provide sufficient space between students for easy movement for students, faculty members, and supervisors within the examination committees, while ensuring all safety requirements are met for students and staff. He also emphasized the necessity of establishing a first aid point, a fire station, and a security point to protect the university's human and institutional resources.
The President also inspected the construction of the Faculty of Education mosque and the final finishing works, as well as monitoring the establishment of a new parking garage for cars within the university and the outlet for the "Bedaya" company to market university services.
