President of Benha University Participated in Meeting of the Education and Scientific Research Committee in the House of Representatives

In the presence of Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansoua, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, along with his accompanying delegation, participated in a meeting of the Education and Scientific Research Committee in the House of Representatives, chaired by Prof. Ashraf El-Shehhi.
The meeting focused on discussing the budget proposal for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the attendance of the Secretary of the Supreme Council and the heads of Egyptian universities.
The university delegation included:
• Prof. Amr El-Dakhakhni, Executive Director of Benha University Hospitals,
• Prof. Mohamed Shaker, General Director of University Hospitals,
• Mrs. Sherin Shawky, Secretary-General of the University,
• Mr. Mohamed Diab, Assistant Secretary for Financial Affairs.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy noted that the meeting discussed two draft laws related to the state budget and the economic and social development plan for the fiscal year 2026/2027 concerning the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its affiliated entities, including universities and university hospitals.
The main discussion points of the committee included the budgets of universities and hospitals, reviewing the allocations for public, private, and community universities, developing educational infrastructure, and allocating budgets for the establishment and development of technological universities and university hospitals. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the Ministry of Higher Education's plans for curriculum development and university services.
