The Faculty of Applied Arts was honored today by the visit of Dr. Gehan Abdelhady, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. She was welcomed by Prof. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty, along with vice deans and several faculty members.
Her visit began with the inauguration of an exhibition of student projects from the Department of Industrial Design, highlighting the use of laser engraving and cutting technology in preparing prototypes. Prof. Abdelhady listened to explanations from prof. Mahmoud El‑Gazzar, Head of the Department and course instructor, who outlined the skills students acquired during project implementation, emphasizing the development of their creative abilities and preparation of graduates capable of becoming entrepreneurs.
Prof. Osama Nada expressed his gratitude to the University President and Vice President for their support of student projects, noting that the university had provided the majority of materials used in the projects at its own expense.
Dr. Abdelhady also toured the faculty’s floors and corridors, praising the distinctive character of its students, reflected in artistic touches and design work that enhance the aesthetic environment and bring joy to students throughout their academic day, thereby strengthening their sense of loyalty and belonging.
At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Abdelhady conveyed the support and greetings of Prof. Nasser El‑Gizawy, President of the University, to the students, faculty members, and administrative staff of the faculty.
