Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy., President of Benha University, welcomed Prof. Mohamed Azouz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of South Valley University and former President of Luxor University. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the discussion of a doctoral thesis submitted by a researcher from the Faculty of Science at the university.
The meeting was attended by:
• Prof. Gehan Abdel-Hady, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research,
• Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof. Mohamed Heikal, Dean of the Faculty of Science.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy. emphasized Benha University's commitment to providing full support for researchers across all faculties to continuously enhance scientific and academic standards, especially in the presence of qualified scientific staff that can elevate the quality of educational and research services offered by the university.
the doctoral thesis of researcher Amani Adel Hamad, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Botany and Microbiology, aimed to compare the potential effects of using copper and zinc in ionic and nano forms as fertilizers and fungicides against two significant types of fungi that cause substantial losses in two varieties of tomato plants during various developmental stages of germination, vegetative growth, and fruiting.
The discussion and examination committee consisted of Prof. Mohamed Mahgoub Azouz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of South Valley University and former President of Luxor University, and Professor of Plant Physiology at the Faculty of Science, South Valley University, as the chair, along with membership from Prof. Mohamed Hamdy Ammar, Professor of Genetics, Department of Genetic Resources - Desert Research Center - Matariya, Prof. Samir Hamdy Abdel-Aziz, Professor of Genetics, Department of Botany and Microbiology at Benha University, and Prof. Ashraf Bakri Abdel-Razek, Professor and Head of the Genetics Department at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University.
The supervision committee included Prof. Aziza Nagah Mustafa, Assistant Professor of Plant Physiology, Department of Botany and Microbiology at Benha University, and Prof. Eman Tawfik Hussein, Assistant Professor of Genetics, Department of Botany and Microbiology at the University of Capital.
