The DAAD Regional Office Cairo is pleased to share the call for applications for the DAAD Research Ambassadors 2026/27 initiative. We would highly appreciate your support in circulating this opportunity among eligible faculty members, researchers, and academic staff within your university.
What is it?
Research Ambassadors act as focal points at Egyptian universities outside Cairo, voluntarily promoting research and study opportunities in Germany (including DAAD funding programmes) to students, faculty, and neighbouring institutions.
Key responsibilities include promoting DAAD opportunities at their institutions, organizing information sessions and outreach events, and providing guidance to students and researchers interested in studying or conducting research in Germany.
Who can apply?
PhD-holders, postdocs, and senior scientists
DAAD alumni, or those who have spent at least 10 months conducting research in Germany at the doctoral level or above
Candidates familiar with the current German research landscape in their discipline
We particularly encourage applications from female scientists.
