Prof . Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, conducted an inspection tour of the ongoing construction works at the building housing the Faculties of Specific Education and Applied Arts in Kafr Saad.
During the tour, prof. El-Gizawy assessed the progress of completing the ground floor foundations, accompanied by the Director of the Engineering Administration and university engineers. He emphasized that the visit was part of his field monitoring strategy to assess project completion rates and oversee construction developments. He directed the teams to maintain steady progress, adhere to the approved timeline, and ensure that facilities are equipped according to certified specifications, while strictly observing occupational safety and health standards.
It is noteworthy that the project consists of three adjacent buildings, each with a floor area of 8,200 square meters, comprising a ground floor and six upper levels. The complex will include 12 lecture halls with a capacity of 200 students each, 9 lecture halls accommodating 100 students, 20 specialized workshops, 40 diverse laboratories, an art studio, an exhibition hall, a library, and a medical clinic.
The facilities will also feature practical teaching rooms and offices for faculty members, with full compliance to accessibility standards for persons with disabilities. The project’s total cost exceeds 800 million Egyptian pounds and is expected to serve more than 30,000 students.
