President of Benha University chairs committee meeting on aligning academic programs with labor market needs

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, chaired the meeting of the committee tasked with preparing a comprehensive study to link the university's academic programs and specializations with labor market demands.
The meeting was attended by prof. Gehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Mohamed Ghanem, Director of the University's Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center; Dr. Ayman Samir, Advisor to the President for Innovation Affairs; Dr. Abdel Fattah Monjed, Executive Director of the Office of International Relations and Mission Support; Dr. Amira Aql, Head of the Economics Department at the Faculty of Commerce; Dr. Sahar Abdel Rahman, Director of the University Career Development Center; Dr. Mervat Jamil, Professor at the Faculty of Science; and Dr. Ahmed Zakaria, Deputy Director of the Office of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Marketing.
During the session, prof. El-Gizawy reviewed the committee's preliminary report, which analyzed current programs, their relevance to labor market needs, identified gaps requiring attention, and outlined a development plan for programs needing updates or restructuring.
He stressed the importance of continuous work to implement the development plan, ensuring that programs are updated to align with future job requirements. He also emphasized the creation of new programs that reflect global trends in education and employment, thereby preparing graduates who are competitive in both local and international labor markets.
