Prof. El Gizawy: Expansion of Solar Energy Use and Development of Services Provided to Students

The meeting discussed the university's plan to convert water heaters in the university cities to operate on solar energy, as part of Benha University's strategy aimed at enhancing reliance on clean energy sources and rationalizing electricity consumption. This supports the state's efforts to achieve sustainable development and protect the environment.
Professor Nasser El Gizawy emphasized that the university continues to implement development and modernization projects that contribute to improving service efficiency and maximizing the use of available resources, while expanding the application of environmentally friendly practices across various university sectors.
The board also reviewed the ongoing annual maintenance work as part of early preparations to welcome students for the new academic year, ensuring a safe living environment equipped with all necessary services.
The meeting addressed the proposal to allocate the fifth floor of the university residential campus in Shubra for faculty members and graduate students from the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra, which will help meet the needs of the educational and research process.
Several organizational and administrative topics related to the operation of the university residential campus were discussed.
The President of Benha University stressed the administration's commitment to continuously improving the level of services provided to expatriate students and providing a comprehensive living environment that ensures their academic and psychological stability. He affirmed that the development of university residential campus represents one of the main pillars in the university's plan to enhance the quality of university life and support students at various stages of their studies.
