Benha University Maintained Its Presence among the World's Best Universities in the U.S. News Ranking for 2026-2027

Professor Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that according to the U.S. News Ranking 2026-2027, the university ranked:
• 620th globally, maintaining its position among the top 1000 universities worldwide.
• It also ranked 21st in Africa
• 10th among Egyptian public and private universities.
Prof. El Gizawy highlighted that Benha University has joined the list of the best internationally ranked universities in 11 fields, including the field of Clinical Medicine, where the university appeared for the first time, ranking 1134th globally, and 274th in Agricultural Sciences.
Prof. Gehan Abdel-Hady, Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Research, noted that the university also ranked:
• 569th globally in Engineering,
• 715th in Chemistry,
• 369th in Energy and Fuels,
• 374th in Electrical and Electronic Engineering,
• 450th in Computer Science.
• 261th in Plant and Animal Science,
• 642nd in Materials Science,
• 686th in Physics,
• 132nd in Mathematics.
She explained that the U.S. News ranking relies on 13 indicators that measure academic research performance and global and regional reputation. This current edition includes the best 2250 universities from over 100 countries worldwide.
Among the ranking indicators are the university's global and local research reputation, published research in internationally ranked journals, books published by global publishers, international conferences, citation counts, international collaboration, and other metrics that assess the quality of research outputs.
