The Faculty of Agriculture at Benha University launched the rice season at the research farm to support applied studies and develop new varieties.

Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, the Faculty of Agriculture witnessed the commencement of the new season for the research program on planting and transplanting rice at the college's research farm. This initiative is part of the college's plan to support scientific research and activate practical field experiments on strategic crops, contributing to the development of the agricultural sector and enhancing production efficiency.

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized that Benha University places great importance on expanding research and applied activities related to economically significant agricultural crops, producing several new rice varieties that consume less water and are compatible with climate changes. He pointed out that rice is one of the strategic crops prioritized in the research programs of the Faculty of Agriculture due to its crucial role in supporting the food security system.
Prof. Sayed Khater added that the experiments conducted at the research farm aim to evaluate and develop modern agricultural practices and benefit from scientific research results to address the challenges facing agricultural production, positively impacting farmers and the agricultural sector in general.
