Benha University Council held its meeting chaired by Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of the University, with the presence of :
• Prof. Gehan Abdel-Hady, Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Research,
• Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Deans of the faculties,
• Council members.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy began the session by extending his sincere congratulations to Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the occasion of the thirteenth anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, emphasizing the great national value of this occasion and the embodiment of the will of the Egyptian people and their desire to preserve their identity and lead the nation towards a better future.
The President of the University expressed his appreciation for the tremendous efforts made by academic and administrative leaders, faculty members, and staff during the second semester exams, praising the discipline and commitment witnessed in the exam committees, which contributed to providing a suitable environment for students to take their exams easily and smoothly.
Prof. El-Gizawy emphasized the importance of completing the correction and grading processes and final reviews according to the specified timelines, while fully adhering to standards of accuracy and transparency, ensuring that every student receives their full rights and that results are announced as quickly as possible.
Prof. El-Gizawy reviewed the file for developing healthcare for university members, where the council approved the university's continued coverage of 100% of the treatment costs for faculty members and their assistants, as well as administrative staff, according to the prices of the treatment institution and Ain Shams Specialized Hospital and Qasr El-Aini French Hospitals. This step reflects the university's interest in the social and health dimensions for its members and its commitment to providing the best levels of medical care.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy confirmed that the university spares no effort in providing various forms of support and care for its faculty members and staff.
The President of the University announced the council's approval of allocating 2.8 million Egyptian pounds as rewards for international publication and citation references for the January 2026 cycle, continuing the university's policy of motivating researchers and encouraging them to publish in prestigious international scientific journals, which contributes to enhancing the university's international ranking and increasing research output rates.
Prof. El-Gizawy clarified that Benha University places great importance on scientific research as one of the main pillars for achieving sustainable development and serving the community, noting that the university has witnessed a remarkable surge in international publication rates and the quality of scientific research in recent years, positively reflecting its position in global rankings.
