Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that the university successfully eradicated illiteracy for 4,623 citizens, according to the results of the April 2026 session released by the General Authority for Adult Education.
He confirmed that Benha University ranked eighth among Egyptian universities in the field of literacy, as per the Authority's report. This achievement reflects the university's national commitment to improving citizens' quality of life by eliminating illiteracy, thereby contributing to the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.
Prof. El-Gizawy emphasized that the university gives great importance to literacy programs, implemented through its faculty members and students to serve the people of Qalyubia Governorate, under expert supervision and in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education.
Meanwhile, prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, stated that the community service sector continues to support the literacy project. He noted that the total number of registered learners in the April session reached 5,231, of whom 4,717 attended, and 4,623 successfully passed.
