Qalyubia Governor and Benha University President Inspect Comprehensive Development Convoy in Tahla Village

Eng. Hossam Abdel Fattah, Governor of Qalyubia, and Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, inspected the activities of the comprehensive development convoy organized by the university in Tahla Village at El-Fakhoura Youth Center. This initiative comes within the university's community role and its support for the state's efforts to achieve sustainable development and improve citizens' quality of life.
The visit was attended by Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, faculty representatives, and organized by Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary-General for Community Service.
The Governor praised Benha University's initiatives and convoys that serve citizens, stressing that the university is a key partner in implementing development plans and achieving human development by providing educational, health, veterinary, agricultural, and awareness services that improve quality of life in villages. He added that the state attaches great importance to building the Egyptian citizen, and these convoys reflect integration between executive bodies and academic institutions.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized that the university is keen to organize comprehensive development convoys regularly, harnessing its scientific and academic expertise to serve the community in line with Egypt Vision 2030. He explained that the convoy represents a complete development model, combining healthcare, veterinary and agricultural support, sports, awareness seminars, and workshops on crafts and entrepreneurship, all contributing to improving quality of life and supporting the state's efforts in building the Egyptian citizen.
Prof. Taha Ashour stated that 15 faculties participated in the convoy, with 175 faculty members and assistants, offering a full package of medical, veterinary, agricultural, awareness, and sports services to maximize benefits for the residents of Tahla.
The convoy included free medical services in internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, ENT, chest diseases, and ophthalmology, along with an initiative for early cancer detection. Veterinary convoys provided animal care and treatment, while agricultural guidance supported farmers in boosting productivity. Family counseling and awareness sessions promoted dialogue and strengthened the Egyptian family.
Additionally, workshops taught handicrafts and entrepreneurship skills to empower youth and women, encouraging small and medium enterprises. Sports activities were also organized to discover talents among children and youth, reinforcing the culture of sports as a foundation for health and character building.
This convoy reflects Benha University's dedication to community service and its direct engagement with citizens across Qalyubia villages.
