President of Benha University: Over 122,000 Medical Services Provided in June at Benha University Hospitals

Prof. Nasser El‑Gizawy, President of Benha University, affirmed that the university hospitals continue to play a vital role in delivering distinguished medical and therapeutic services to the people of Qalyubia Governorate and neighboring areas. He noted that the hospitals are among the most important medical and educational institutions, bearing a significant share of the burden on the healthcare sector.
He pointed out that during June 2026, Benha University Hospitals provided approximately 122,521 medical services across various specialties. This reflects the tremendous efforts of the medical, nursing, and administrative teams, as well as the university's commitment to offering healthcare worthy of citizens. He emphasized the university's ongoing support for the hospitals with the latest medical equipment and technologies, infrastructure development, and service upgrades — all contributing to safe and high‑quality patient care.
Dr. Amr El‑Dakhakhny, Executive Director of Benha University Hospitals, reported that in June the hospitals received 19,054 cases in emergency and reception departments, 16,779 patients in outpatient clinics, admitted 2,815 cases to inpatient wards, and handled 83 cases at the specialized hospital. In addition, 1,462 surgeries were performed across different specialties.
He added that diagnostic and testing departments provided extensive services, including 40,166 laboratory analyses, 19,699 radiological examinations, 498 ECGs, 70 EEGs, 127 nerve conduction studies, and 17,012 endoscopic procedures.
Specialized services also continued: 2,638 adult dialysis sessions and 520 pediatric dialysis sessions were carried out; oncology departments received 745 cases; intensive care units served 748 patients; and neonatal units admitted 105 infants. Dr. El‑Dakhakhny stressed that these figures reflect the trust citizens place in Benha University Hospitals and highlight their pivotal role in alleviating the burden on patients.
