Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El‑Gizawy, President of Benha University, and prof. Gehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, prof. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, welcomed Prof. Paweł Urbaniak, Professor of Media and Communication at the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication, University of Wrocław, Poland. The visit took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ agreement signed between the two universities.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdel Fattah Monjed, Executive Director of the International Relations Office, along with the vice deans of the Faculty of Applied Arts.
Prof. Nasser El‑Gizawy emphasized that this visit reflects Benha University's commitment to expanding international partnerships, benefiting from global academic expertise, and strengthening academic mobility programs for faculty and students. Such initiatives contribute to advancing education and research while enhancing the university's standing regionally and internationally.
During the visit, Professor Paweł Urbaniak delivered a lecture titled “The Special Nature of Communication Studies in Poland and the City of Wrocław.” He reviewed the development of media and communication disciplines in Polish universities, highlighted modern trends in media studies, and explained mechanisms for preparing and training students. He also shared the academic experience of the University of Wrocław in the fields of media and communication.
The program included a tour of student projects at the Faculty of Applied Arts, the central library, and the university's educational studio.
