Benha University President Attends Industrial Design Graduation Projects at Faculty of Applied Arts

Prof. Nasser El‑Gizawy, President of Benha University, attended the graduation project discussions of students from the Department of Industrial Design at the Faculty of Applied Arts.
The session was attended by Dr. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Mahmoud El‑Gazzar, Head of the Industrial Design Department; and Engineer Mohamed Abdel‑Aleem, Chairman of Master Tech Company.
El‑Gizawy showcased the projects and listened to detailed presentations from students about their ideas and designs. He expressed appreciation for the scientific and practical level demonstrated, highlighting the innovative design solutions that meet industry needs and align with development requirements.
He stressed that graduation projects represent a genuine gateway for students into the job market, by transforming academic ideas into productive ventures, startups, or freelance work alongside their studies. This, he noted, reflects their capacity for innovation and ability to create real job opportunities. He emphasized that knowledge and skills are the foundation for building a better future.
Prof. El‑Gizawy added that Benha University is keen to support students through its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, which incubates outstanding ideas and provides funding and guidance in cooperation with supporting bodies such as the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, as well as the university's “Bedaya” company, which offers financial, marketing, and mentoring support to turn promising projects into successful startups.
Dr. Osama Nada explained that this year's graduation project was titled “Design and Implementation of Packaging Machines” and included the design and production of machines for filling liquids, powders, legumes, and hotel‑size sugar packets. He noted that the projects were carried out in collaboration with Master Tech, a leading company in packaging machinery manufacturing, representing a successful model of partnership between the university and industry, and bridging academic study with practical application to meet labor market needs.
Dr. Mahmoud El‑Gazzar, Head of the Industrial Design Department, emphasized that the machine designs adhered to the highest quality standards in materials used, improved production efficiency, reduced energy consumption, and ensured ease of operation, while addressing shortcomings in similar products. This, he added, enhances the competitiveness of the designs and aligns them with the requirements of modern industry.
