Benha University Officially Joins the Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance (BRIMEA)

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that the university has officially joined the Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance (BRIMEA), after receiving its membership certificate from the Alliance Secretariat in July 2026. This milestone reflects the advanced academic standing the university has achieved both regionally and internationally.
Prof. El-Gizawy affirmed that joining this global alliance represents a new accomplishment for Benha University and crowns its ongoing efforts to develop medical education and scientific research, while strengthening cooperation with international institutions and universities. He emphasized that this step aligns with the university's strategy to transform into a smart university of global stature.
He noted that membership in BRIMEA opens wide opportunities for collaboration in medical education and research, including faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, and knowledge sharing. Such initiatives contribute to preparing highly qualified medical professionals according to the latest international standards, while enhancing the quality of healthcare and educational services.
Dr. Mohamed El-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, highlighted that joining BRIMEA will create new prospects for faculty members, researchers, and students to participate in international cooperation programs, exchange expertise, and benefit from global experiences in advancing medical education and healthcare. He stressed that this will positively impact the quality of graduates and the medical services provided to citizens.
