Qalyubia Governor and Benha University President Check on Victims of Freeway Accident and Direct Full Medical Care

Eng. Hossam Abdel Fattah, Governor of Qalyubia, and prof. Nasser El‑Gizawy, President of Benha University, visited Benha University Hospital to check on those injured in the Freeway accident. Their visit aimed to assess the level of medical care provided and ensure that all necessary support and treatment were being delivered.
They were welcomed by Dr. Amr El‑Dakhakhny, Executive Director of Benha University Hospitals, who presented the medical status of the patients. He explained that the hospital had received eight cases from the accident, including one fatality upon arrival. Immediate medical care was provided to all injured; three patients were discharged after improvement, one was transferred to Toukh Central Hospital for further treatment, while three remain under care at Benha University Hospital in stable condition and under continuous medical supervision.
Governor Abdel Fattah personally visited the patients, listening to the medical team's updates on their conditions. He instructed that all medical and therapeutic resources be made available, and emphasized the swift completion of procedures for disbursing financial assistance to victims' families. He also directed coordination with the Directorate of Social Solidarity to provide social support, in line with state directives.
Prof. El‑Gizawy affirmed that Benha University Hospitals had mobilized all medical and human resources to respond immediately from the first moments of the accident. He stressed the commitment to continue delivering the highest standards of healthcare and to monitor patients until full recovery, instructing medical teams to extend comprehensive support to both patients and their families.
The Governor and University President also followed up on the condition of patients transferred to Qalyub Central Hospital, which had received 14 cases, including two fatalities upon arrival. Ten patients were discharged after stabilization, while two remain in intensive care under close medical observation.
Both officials confirmed the ongoing full coordination between Qalyubia Governorate, Benha University, the Directorate of Health Affairs, the Directorate of Social Solidarity, and all relevant bodies to guarantee the best possible medical care for the injured and prompt support for victims' families. They expressed their wishes for the injured to recover swiftly and prayed for mercy upon the deceased and patience for their families.
