Benha University organized a specialized medical convoy in Neqbas village as part of its community engagement efforts and commitment to providing free medical and therapeutic services to citizens.
The convoy was held under the auspices of prof. Nasser El‑Gizawy, President of Benha University; prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Mohamed El‑Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Dr. Nermeen Adly, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. It was coordinated by Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, in cooperation with Dr. Mohamed Abdel‑Moamen, Director of the Youth and Sports Directorate in Qalyubia.
The convoy witnessed a strong turnout from local residents, with medical examinations provided to 332 citizens across several specialties:
115 cases in ophthalmology
55 cases in pediatrics
77 cases in orthopedics
85 cases in internal medicine
All necessary medical services and treatments were provided free of charge. In addition, 52 eyeglasses were distributed to eligible patients, reflecting the university's commitment to delivering comprehensive healthcare to prioritised groups.
