Prof. Al-Gizawy: We are committed to developing medical education and enhancing scientific partnerships.
Prof. Nasser Al-Gizawy, President of Benha University, inaugurated the activities of the 13th Annual Conference of the Faculty of Medicine, which coincides with the faculty's celebration of its golden jubilee and the 50th anniversary of its establishment.

• Prof. Ashraf Hatim, former Minister of Health and Head of the Medical Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities,
• Prof. Adel Al-Adawi, former Minister of Health and President of the Egyptian Medical Association and Honorary President of the conference,
• Prof. Randa Mustafa, former Vice President of Benha University and Head of the Social Solidarity Committee in the House of Representatives,
• Prof. Osama Abdul Hai, President of the Egyptian Doctors' Syndicate,
• Prof. Yousri El-Saeed, Conference Rapporteur,

Prof. Nasser Al-Gizawy emphasized that the Faculty of Medicine at Benha University has successfully fulfilled its mission over five decades in preparing competent doctors, distinguished scientists, and leaders capable of facing health challenges. He noted that the faculty's graduates have contributed to serving the healthcare system inside and outside Egypt and have played a prominent role in enhancing medical care.
Prof. Al-Gizawy added that the university continues to support the faculty to enhance scientific research, innovation, and the exchange of experiences with academic and medical institutions, keeping pace with the rapid developments in medical sciences and modern technologies. He affirmed that the conference represents a platform for knowledge exchange and envisioning the future of medical education.
The university president expressed his gratitude to all leaders, faculty members, staff, and graduates who contributed to building this scientific edifice and establishing its academic reputation over the past fifty years.
Prof. Mohamed Al-Ashhab reviewed the most significant scientific, research, and educational achievements of the faculty and university hospitals, noting the faculty's success in renewing its accreditation, as well as expanding international partnerships with universities and academic institutions in China, India, England, Germany, the Czech Republic, and several European countries.
Prof. Osama Abdul Hai, President of the Egyptian Doctors' Syndicate, congratulated the Faculty of Medicine on renewing its accreditation, praising the ongoing cooperation between the Doctors' Syndicate and the Medical Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities to support the development of the medical system.
Prof. Ashraf Hatim discussed the efforts to develop medical education in Egypt, explaining that it is based on three main pillars: updating the bachelor's degree stage, organizing training during the internship year, and launching a national program for training resident doctors for five years to obtain the Egyptian board certificate.
Prof. Adel Al-Adawi emphasized the importance of transitioning to continuous medical education, moving from traditional rote learning methods to self-directed and interactive learning, while integrating basic and clinical sciences. He stressed the necessity of utilizing digital transformation and artificial intelligence to serve patients and enhance healthcare.
At the conclusion of the activities, Prof. Nasser Al-Gizawy honored the former deans and leaders of the Faculty of Medicine in appreciation of their contributions to the faculty's scientific and medical journey over half a century.
