Benha University Announces Opening of Applications for University Housing for the Academic Year 2026/2027

The General Administration of University Housing at Benha University has announced the start of receiving applications for student accommodation in the university housing facilities for the academic year 2026/2027. This comes as part of the university's preparations to welcome students wishing to reside in its various housing sites.
The administration clarified that applications are available for standard and premium housing in Benha, Tukh, Moshtohor, and Shoubra, in addition to hotel-style housing in Benha, as well as the new university housing complex in Benha for both male and female students.
Regarding application timelines, the university stated that returning students may apply from August 1, 2026, until August 31, 2026. For new students, the application window will remain open for 15 days following the announcement of results for each stage of the admission process.
Acceptance will be based on established criteria: returning students will be selected according to highest academic performance, then longest commuting distance. For new students, priority will be given first to those living farthest away, then to those with higher grades, and finally to younger applicants. The university has set a minimum distance requirement of 50 kilometers for eligibility in standard housing.
In line with its digital transformation efforts, the administration urged students to apply electronically through the Zahraa University Housing Portal, then print the application form, complete and certify it by the student, guardian, faculty, and guarantor, and pay the application and medical examination fees online via the student dashboard.
The administration emphasized that the certified paper form must be submitted to the Housing Department at the General Administration of University Housing in Kafr Saad to finalize admission procedures. Electronic applications without the required paper documents will not be considered.
Students are reminded to keep their national ID number and password used during registration, upload a personal photo to the portal, obtain a bank-issued Visa card in their name, and ensure that their address matches that of their guardian. Medical examinations will take place in September 2026 according to a schedule to be announced later.
The General Administration of University Housing reserves the right to reject applications containing incorrect information and to take necessary legal measures. It extends its best wishes to all students for a safe and distinguished housing experience and a successful academic year.
