Benha University is continuing the implementation of its student exchange program with George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology in Romania. The program offers students exceptional opportunities for clinical and specialized training, exposure to the latest medical and scientific practices within European academic and healthcare institutions, and reflects the university's commitment to supporting international mobility and exchange, while strengthening academic and scientific cooperation with global universities and medical institutions. This initiative contributes to developing students' skills and enhancing their academic and professional competencies.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, stated that the university attaches great importance to exchange and mobility programs, considering them a key pillar in advancing the educational process and equipping students with scientific and practical experiences aligned with the requirements of local and international labor markets. He emphasized that providing students with training opportunities in international universities and medical institutions adds significant value to their academic and professional journey. He further noted that Benha University is keen to expand its international partnerships and open new horizons for students and faculty to benefit from modern global expertise and experiences.
He added that student exchange programs are not limited to training aspects alone, but also foster cultural and scientific interaction among students from different countries, supporting the development of scientific cadres capable of competing in international work environments.
Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady explained that the university's participation in international academic mobility programs is part of Benha University's strategy to strengthen cooperation with global universities and provide specialized training opportunities that refine participants' skills and link academic learning with practical application.
The program included the participation of Dr. Zeinab Gouda and Dr. Samah Nabil in training at the Pathology Department and specialized laboratories of the university hospital, where they explored laboratory work environments, diagnostic methods, and modern medical and laboratory practices. Meanwhile, Dr. Salwa Abbas and Dr. Riham Mahmoud trained in the Intensive Care and Anesthesiology Department, gaining exposure to clinical operations in specialized units, observing modern practices in managing critical cases, and learning advanced anesthesia and medical care techniques.
