Benha University Organizes Free Veterinary Convoy in Aghour Al-Kubra, Toukh

Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Abdel-Fattah Monjed Selim, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the faculty organized a free veterinary convoy in Aghour Al-Kubra village, Toukh, as part of the university's role in serving the community and safeguarding public welfare.
Dr. Ehab El-Nahhas, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, explained that the convoy was coordinated with Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary-General for Community Service and Environmental Development, and attended by Dr. Hany Shams from the Qalyubia Veterinary Directorate. He extended thanks to Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Kandil, Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, along with the hospital team and clinical and academic departments, for their efforts in ensuring the convoy's success.
The convoy provided medical examinations and treatment for various animals free of charge, in addition to raising awareness about common veterinary diseases and distributing general guidance on animal nutrition.
Outcomes of the Convoy:
153 beneficiaries from the local community.
66 cases of buffalo and cattle examined.
19 cases of sheep and goats.
9 cases of equine species.
70 farm animals examined using ultrasound.
900 birds treated.
3 surgical operations performed.
Laboratory analyses conducted on collected samples.
Free medication provided to all cases.
