Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, together with Dr. Mohamed Mostafa, Director of the Qalyubia Finance Directorate, honored the financial delegates working across the university's administration, faculties, and university hospital. This recognition came in appreciation of their role in supporting the financial system and strengthening discipline and oversight within the university.
The ceremony was attended by Ms. Shereen Shouky, Secretary-General of Benha University; Mr. Mohamed Diab, Assistant Secretary for Financial Affairs; Mr. Wael Saad, Director General of Accounting Units at the Finance Directorate; along with a number of financial delegates.
Prof. El-Gizway emphasized that the university has witnessed significant improvement in financial indicators over the past five years, enabling the implementation of projects that have enhanced infrastructure, improved the learning environment, and advanced academic and research services. He noted that these efforts included major investments in construction projects, alongside strengthening community partnerships and cooperation with state institutions—supporting local needs and preparing graduates for labor market requirements.
He praised the role of financial delegates in ensuring internal control and safeguarding public funds, stressing that their continuous coordination with university sectors is a cornerstone of financial stability and procedural integrity. He added that honoring them reflects appreciation for their contributions and serves as encouragement to maintain efficiency, thereby reinforcing the institutional work environment and supporting the university's strategic goals.
Dr. Mohamed Mostafa highlighted that compliance with documentation according to legal and financial regulations demonstrates institutional discipline and sound workflow, contributing to performance efficiency and minimizing audit remarks. He affirmed the Finance Directorate's commitment to continued cooperation with Benha University as a key partner in development plans, particularly in infrastructure, digital transformation, and financial sustainability.
Ms. Shereen Shouky also expressed gratitude to the financial delegates, commending their efforts and collaboration over the past year, and their role in supporting operations within the university's accounting units, faculties, and hospital.
