Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that students from the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence have won the bronze medal and secured ninth place in the finals of the Egyptian Programming Championship for University Students (ECPC Finals), held at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, with nearly 3,000 teams representing 134 colleges and institutes across the country.
The event was attended by :
• Engineer Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology;
• Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria;
• Prof. Yousry El-Gamal, former Minister of Education.
Prof. El-Gizawy congratulated the winning team, noting that this achievement reflects the high level of the university's students in the fields of innovation. He emphasized that the university places great importance on supporting students with innovative ideas and projects, linking the educational process with the needs of industry and the labor market.
Prof. Karam Abdel Ghani, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, stated that the winning team consists of fourth-year students:
• John Nagy,
• Mohamed Waheed,
• Omar Farhan.
He pointed out that seven teams from the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence qualified for the finals, reflecting the excellence, determination, and passion of the college's students for learning and competition, confirming their ability to reach the podium in one of the most important and largest competitive programming contests in Egypt and the region.
