Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, presented a report highlighting the university's key achievements in governance, integrity, transparency, and anti-corruption during the 2025/2026 academic year. The report showcased performance indicators and accomplishments that demonstrate the university's efforts to enhance institutional performance and improve the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
The report revealed that Benha University achieved a performance index of 96.36%, with a plan completion rate of 92.24%, surpassing the target by 4.12 percentage points. This reflects the university's strong execution of planned programs and its positive impact on institutional performance.
In the area of complaints management, the university handled 825 submissions through the unified complaints system, underscoring its commitment to transparency, responsiveness, and continuous improvement of services.
On training and capacity building, the report noted the implementation of several programs benefiting 180 faculty members and university leaders, in addition to 166 trainees at the National Academy for Anti-Corruption between 2018 and 2026. These initiatives support awareness and dissemination of principles of integrity, governance, and anti-corruption.
The report also highlighted progress in women's empowerment, with 148 female leaders across the university — including 78 academic and 70 administrative positions — reflecting broader participation of women in leadership and decision-making roles.
Leadership renewal was another focus, with appointments covering 7 deans, 22 vice-deans, 49 department heads, and 15 directors, reinforcing administrative and academic efficiency and institutional stability.
On the medical front, Benha University hospitals and medical centers served more than 1.63 million beneficiaries, providing examinations, laboratory tests, imaging, surgeries, emergency care, clinics, and specialized medical services.
These achievements, the report emphasized, align with the university's commitment to applying principles of sound governance, enhancing institutional performance, strengthening integrity and transparency, and improving service systems in line with Egypt's national priorities and sustainable development goals.
Prof. El-Gizawy affirmed that the university will continue to refine its performance systems and elevate service quality, guided by clear performance indicators, a culture of quality, and institutional excellence — ensuring the university fulfills its educational, research, and community mission effectively.
