President of Benha University welcomed the Committee of the Council of National Universities to Follow Up on the Establishment of the Technological University in Al-Obour

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, welcomed the Committee of the Council of National Universities during their field visit to the Benha University campus in Al-Obour to follow up on the preparations and necessary capabilities for establishing a National technological university affiliated with Benha University.
The committee :
• Prof. Hisham Hamid, former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Minya University;
• Prof. Al-Desouki Eid, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Suez University;
• Prof. Ezzat Marghany, Professor of Architecture at Assiut University.
The visit was attended by Prof. Gehan Abdelhady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Mohamed Said, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra; and Prof. Hazem Aliwa, Academic Director of the Benha University campus in Al-Obour.
The committee inspected the components of the university campus in Al-Obour, including its facilities, equipment, and capabilities. They also reviewed the proposed vision for establishing the technological university and the academic programs targeted for offering, in alignment with labor market needs and national trends toward expanding technological education pathways.
Prof. El-Gizawy emphasized that the visit comes in light of the request submitted by Benha University to establish a National technological university, aiming to assess the available resources and physical capabilities at the university campus in Al-Obour, as well as to discuss the requirements necessary to complete the procedures in accordance with the approved standards and regulations.
He noted Benha University's commitment to completing all necessary preparations for establishing the National technological university and providing an advanced educational and research environment that meets quality and accreditation standards. He affirmed the importance of expanding technological education and linking its outputs to labor market needs, contributing to the state's efforts to prepare qualified human resources in modern technological specialties.
The committee reviewed various technical, academic, and construction aspects of the project and provided their feedback regarding the requirements needed to complete the procedures, in preparation for taking the necessary executive steps according to the approved regulations and standards.
