Benha University President Attends Closing Ceremony of the Third Sports Festival for Students of Determination

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, attended the closing ceremony of the Third Sports Festival for Students of Determination, hosted by the university with the participation of several teams and students. The festival reflects the university's commitment to supporting student and athletic activities and promoting the inclusion of students of determination in campus life.
The event was attended by Prof.Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Khaled Eissawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Dr. Samar Abdel Hamid, Director of the Mustafa Sadeq Al-Rafei Center; Mr. Ibrahim Abdullah, General Director of Youth Welfare; along with representatives of the participating teams.
Prof. El-Gizawy emphasized that the festival highlights the vital role of student activities in shaping students' personalities, developing their skills and abilities, and instilling values of loyalty and belonging to the Egyptian state. He noted that the university is keen to provide a supportive environment that enables all students to participate and express their talents. He added that universities are like one family united by a common goal: building the Egyptian citizen. He stressed that students of determination possess unique energies and capabilities that must be discovered, nurtured, and invested in to help them achieve success and excellence across fields.
He cited inspiring examples from Benha University, including a student of determination who excelled academically despite challenges and was appointed as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Arts. He affirmed that the university continues to provide her with the necessary support to pursue postgraduate studies and achieve her academic ambitions.
Peof. El-Gizawy concluded that such examples prove that determination and willpower can overcome obstacles, turning challenges into motivation for greater achievement.
The ceremony also featured artistic and cultural performances, including folk shows by Benha University's Popular Arts Team and a sketch titled “Creators of Challenge” presented by students of determination, showcasing their resilience and success. At the end of the festival, prof. El-Gizawy honored the participating teams and students, presenting shields to the winning teams in recognition of their active participation and outstanding performance.
