Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, attended the graduation ceremony of a new cohort of students from the Faculty of Law programs at the Obour campus.
The event was held in the presence of Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof.Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Mohamed Mansour, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Prof.Magdy Meligy, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Prof.Mohamed Ahmed El-Madawy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Mervat Mahdy, Vice Dean of Commerce for Community Service and Environmental Development; Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary-General for Community Service and Environmental Affairs; and Dr. Ahmed Naguib, Deputy General Supervisor of the Leadership Development Center.
In his speech, Prof. El-Gizawy addressed the graduates, stressing that graduation is not merely the end of a study phase but the beginning of a new journey in which they bear the responsibility of applying the knowledge they have acquired to serve society and uphold the values of justice and the rule of law.
Speaking directly to the graduates, he said: “You are the guardians of justice and the enforcers of law. Today you have completed an important stage of your lives, but it is not the end of the road—it is the beginning of a new chapter in your professional and human journey. Let the knowledge and skills you have gained be the foundation of your future path.”
He added: “Be proud of what you have achieved during your years of study. Let this moment inspire you to greater success and distinction. Remain grateful to your families, who played the greatest role in supporting and standing by you until you reached this milestone.”
Prof. El-Gizawy underscored the importance of adhering to values and principles, preserving societal ethics and national identity. He emphasized that the mission of law graduates goes beyond studying and applying legal texts—it extends to promoting justice, integrity, respect for rights and duties, and strengthening the rule of law, thereby contributing to building a more conscious and stable society.
