President of Benha University welcomed the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Cairo

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, welcomed Ambassador Elkhan Polukhov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Cairo, and his accompanying delegation to discuss ways to enhance academic and cultural cooperation between the university and the embassy.
The meeting was attended by :
• Prof. Gehan Abdel-Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research;
• Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development;
• Prof. Iman Abdel-Haq, Director of the University's Foreign Languages Center;
• Prof. Abdel-Fattah Monged, Director of the International Relations Office;
• Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary-General for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized that the meeting explored avenues for increasing joint cooperation between Benha University and the Azerbaijani Embassy, particularly in academic fields and teaching the Azerbaijani language to non-native speakers. He noted the university's commitment to organizing training courses and programs that contribute to enhancing the linguistic skills of students and staff, and improving their ability to communicate with international institutions.
"Prof. El-Gizawy" added that this cooperation opens new horizons for the university's students and staff to participate in cultural and academic exchange programs with Azerbaijan. He underscored the deep historical and brotherly relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan, affirming his continuous support for all efforts that strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Elkhan Polukhov praised the excellence of Egyptian students and their keenness to learn the Azerbaijani language and explore Azerbaijani culture. He expressed his happiness with the success of the training course organized by Benha University to teach the Azerbaijani language, viewing it as a significant step and a promising start for cooperation in other fields.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador to Cairo highlighted the many similarities between Egyptian and Azerbaijani customs and culture, which further facilitates opportunities for rapprochement and communication between the two peoples.

He congratulated them for their excellence and distinction in studying the Azerbaijani language, expressing his hope that they would act as ambassadors for his country in Egypt, and stressing the importance of such courses in fostering cultural communication and strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between Egypt and Azerbaijan.
Benha University launched a weekly training program to study the Azerbaijani language for free at the university's Foreign Languages Center, within the framework of joint cooperation between the university and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Cairo.
