Benha University has qualified to the Final Stage of the "Sensor X Challenge 2026"

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that a team from the university has qualified for the final stage of the "Sensor X Challenge 2026," organized by the Fund for the Care of Innovators and Talents in collaboration with the Leadership Preparation Institute, with participation from students of Egyptian universities and institutes.
Prof. El-Gizawy explained that the project's qualification reflects the excellence of Benha University students and researchers and their ability to apply science and technology to develop innovative and applicable solutions. He emphasized that the university places great importance on supporting innovation and encouraging students and researchers to participate in various scientific competitions and events.
He added that Benha University is keen to provide a stimulating environment for innovators, supporting their projects and developing their ideas and turning them into prototypes and executable projects, contributing to community service and supporting the state's direction towards a knowledge-based and innovative economy.
The qualified project is titled "Soft Tactile Sensor for Robotic Contact Force Control," and it is presented by Engineer Mohamed Nasser Abdel-Moneim Ibrahim Shalaan, a Teaching Assistant in the Mechatronics Department at the Faculty of Engineering in Benha.
The university president congratulated the project team and the supervising and support team, wishing them success in the upcoming stages of the competition and achieving outstanding results that reflect the name of Benha University.
The "Sensor X Challenge 2026" is the first national competition specialized in the innovation of smart sensors, aimed at enabling students from Egyptian universities and institutes to develop innovative technological solutions in the fields of health, agriculture, industry, energy, environment, smart cities, and robotics, in addition to supporting the transformation of outstanding ideas into prototypes and executable projects.
