Vice President of Benha University for Postgraduate Studies and Research Opened Workshop "Empowering a Generation Ready for Opportunities and International Mobility"

Under the auspices of:
• Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University,
• Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research,
opened a workshop titled "Empowering a Generation Ready for Opportunities and International Mobility." The workshop aims to inform university students about available European and international opportunities and to prepare them to benefit from training programs, academic exchanges, and participation in international initiatives.
The event was attended by several deans and vice deans of faculties, the Assistant Secretary of the University for Administrative Affairs, and university students, along with a selection of experts and specialists in training, development, youth, and international programs.
Speakers at the workshop included Mr. Ahmed Yassin, National Coordinator for the EU Jeel Connect Program in Egypt, Prof. Nouran Mustafa, accredited trainer at the Supreme Council of Universities and Director of the Sustainability and Green Transformation Department at ISSC, Ms. Yara Hisham, Youth Advisor at the United Nations and Communication and Vision Officer at the National Office for the Erasmus+ Program in Egypt, Engineer Islam Ezzat, an expert at the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and a member of the EU Jeel Connect program, and Prof. Amr Ramadan, founder and Executive Director of Empower Hub and a Chevening Scholarship recipient.
Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady emphasized Benha University's commitment to making university students active partners in building their futures by providing information and introducing them to scholarships, training programs, academic exchanges, international mobility, and volunteer opportunities, which contribute to broadening their scientific, professional, and humanitarian horizons.
The Vice President highlighted the importance of students acquiring a diverse set of skills, including language proficiency, communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, and adaptability to different environments, along with digital and professional skills that have become essential for education and work opportunities on an international level.
Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady added that international opportunities do not begin with travel; they start with knowledge, readiness, and initiative, and by leveraging the resources provided by the university and its partners. She affirmed the university's continued support for activities and initiatives that open new avenues for international learning and training, contributing to the preparation of a generation that is aware, open to the world, and capable of turning opportunities into real experiences and achievements.
She explained that openness to international experiences and acquiring cross-border skills are essential components in preparing students for the job market and enhancing their active participation in society. She noted that the university is working to empower students to discover these opportunities and develop their abilities to compete at both local and international levels.
Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady expressed her gratitude to all the experts and participants in the workshop activities, wishing students to gain the maximum benefit from its themes and hoping that the workshop represents a new step towards more opportunities for training, academic exchange, volunteering, and international mobility.
