President of Benha University Participated in Welcoming Pope Tawadros in Al-Obour Campus

Prof. El-Gizawy: The visit reflects the values of citizenship and brotherhood that unite Egyptians.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, participated in welcoming His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark, upon his arrival at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Al-Obour City to deliver his weekly sermon. The event was attended by:

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized that Benha University's participation in welcoming His Holiness Pope Tawadros reflects the university's commitment to engaging with various community activities that embody the values of citizenship and belonging. He noted that Egypt will remain a model of love, coexistence, and unity among its people, and that educational institutions have a crucial role in instilling these values in youth and students, contributing to the building of a society characterized by respect, cooperation, and peace.
The President of Benha University expressed his appreciation for His Holiness Pope Tawadros, affirming that visits and meetings that bring together various state institutions and their religious and community leaders strengthen communication bridges and support the values of dialogue and acceptance of others. This aligns with the university's mission to prepare generations aware of their role in serving the community and maintaining its cohesion.
His Holiness Pope Tawadros II met with over 500 children from the churches of Al-Obour City, sharing with them several church hymns and discussing the Feast of Nayrouz, the Coptic months, and the life of Saint Paul the Apostle, all amidst a celebratory atmosphere for the Nayrouz feast.
His Holiness also delivered his weekly sermon as part of the series "Spiritual Laws for Life," titled "The Law of the Cross... A Sign of Complete Love." He discussed seven aspects of love proclaimed by Christ on the cross, including forgiveness, acceptance of others, loyalty, enduring pain, need and humility, completing the work, and salvation and tranquility.
His Holiness expressed his happiness at visiting St. Paul the Apostle Church, which he had previously visited and consecrated about 12 years ago. He highlighted the significant growth and urban expansion that Al-Obour City has witnessed, along with the accompanying expansion of church services provided to its residents.
