Vice President of Benha University for Postgraduate Studies and Research inaugurated the Sixth Scientific Conference of the Radiology Department

Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President of the University, inaugurated the sixth scientific conference of the Radiology Department at the Faculty of Medicine. The conference is being held at the Medical Skills and Simulation Center at the university, in collaboration with the Egyptian Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and the Egyptian Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology.
The event was attended by:
• Prof. Mohamed Al-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine,
• Prof. Hisham El-Sheikh, Head of the Radiology Department and Conference President,
• Prof. Ashraf El-Mashad, Director of the Medical Skills Center,
• Prof. Tarek El-Diasty, President of the Egyptian Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine,
• Prof. Emad El-Shourbagy, President of the Egyptian Society of Abdominal and Gastrointestinal Radiology,
• Radiology professors from various Egyptian universities.
Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady emphasized that organizing scientific conferences provides an important opportunity for exchanging experiences and knowledge, as well as discussing the latest developments and technologies in the field of radiology. It also allows young doctors and researchers to present their research and ideas while benefiting from the expertise of professors and specialists.
She explained that the conference serves as a scientific platform that combines academic expertise and clinical practice, contributing to the support of continuous medical education and the enhancement of medical practice standards.
The Vice President added that Benha University places significant importance on scientific conferences and events that contribute to building the capacities of young researchers and doctors, enhancing cooperation, and exchanging experiences, in line with the university's goals of achieving academic and research excellence and serving the community.
Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady expressed her gratitude and appreciation to all those involved in organizing the conference, wishing it success in achieving its objectives and generating recommendations and ideas that contribute to the development of diagnostic and interventional radiology practices, supporting the future of radiologists.
Prof. Hisham El-Sheikh, Conference President and Head of the Radiology Department, stated that the conference represents an opportunity for knowledge exchange and experience sharing, as well as for learning about the latest developments in the field of radiology. He emphasized that supporting and training young radiologists is one of the main focuses of the conference.
He added that the activities of the conference aim to exchange practical experiences in various fields of radiology and to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application, ultimately benefiting patients and enhancing the medical system.
Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady and her accompanying team attended several specialized workshops at the Medical Skills and Simulation Center at the university, aimed at providing practical training that simulates real-world scenarios to refine the skills of young doctors in interventional radiology, ultrasound, and other related specialties.
