Benha University organised a training workshop for students of Mit Nama Schools Complex on handicrafts and the localisation of traditional crafts. The initiative forms part of the university's community service role and the outreach convoys and awareness activities it regularly organises for school students.
The workshop was held under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of the University; Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts; and Prof. Neveen Farouk, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development. Coordination was carried out with Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant University Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The workshop aimed to develop students' skills and uncover their talents through practical training and the creation of simplified handicraft models. This approach enhances their artistic and creative abilities and encourages them to learn and further develop traditional crafts.
The workshop activities were led by Dr. Sara Ashraf and Engineer Ola Adel.
