Al-Gizawy”: International students are Benha University's ambassadors abroad… and the rise in their numbers is a key indicator of the success of the care system”

Prof. Nasser Al-Gizawy, President of Benha University, affirmed that international students serve as permanent ambassadors for the university in their home countries and play a vital role in strengthening its institutional reputation on the global stage. He stressed that providing them with an outstanding educational experience and comprehensive care helps attract more students and supports the university's efforts to internationalize education and enhance its competitiveness worldwide.
These remarks came during a meeting between the President of Benha University and the directors of the international student units across the university's faculties. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Youssef, Executive Director of the International Student Care Unit, along with the directors of Education and Student Affairs, Graduate Studies, and the international student units in the faculties. The discussion focused on ways to develop the international student care system and strengthen efforts to attract more students.
Al-Gizawy explained that the success of the university's internationalization strategy does not stop at attracting students from different countries. It also involves boosting their connection to the university and embedding a sense of belonging, so that they become an integral part of its fabric and carry its mission forward after graduation. He emphasized that maintaining ongoing communication with them is a fundamental pillar for building trust in the university and enabling them to share their positive experiences with their communities.
The university president noted that every positive practice and every obstacle removed for international students has a direct impact on the university's reputation and international standing. He called on the international student units to adopt innovative and unconventional ideas that help attract students, improve the services offered to them, and achieve greater excellence in this area.
Al-Gizawy underscored the importance of providing comprehensive care for international students, organizing regular events that reflect their cultural diversity, and integrating them into student activities and campus life. This approach strengthens communication and interaction between them and their Egyptian peers.
The President of Benha University stated: “We do not want the international student to live in isolation from their peers.
