Following to Benha University precautionary measures to limit the spread of Corona Virus "Covid-19", the University staff has cared to wear medical mask during the first work day after the vacation of Eid Al-Fiter. Dr Gamal El Saeed, benha University President has issued a decree to form a higher committee at the Univeresity and hospitals to face spread of Corona Virus .The decree was issued under auspices of Prof.Dr.Randa Mustafa, Benha University Vice- President for Community Service Affairs. The Higher committee includes ; Dr Mustafa El Qady , Faculty of Medicine dean , Dr Ibrahim Rageh , head of Clinical Pathology department ,Dr Hossam Abd El Azim , Dr Ahmed Yusuf, Dr Tareq Samy Essawy , DrAmr Salah and Dr Mohamed Shaker.The University President mentioned that the Committee is going to follow up and activate the role of anti-infection and the quality assurance , inaddition to providing the required support for medical teams at the hospitals . the committee is going to keep in touch with other hospitals to exchange experience about limiting spread of Corona Virus.

The University President mentioned that Electronic sterilization portal has been designed according to an initiative by Benha University to limit spread of Corona Virus by sterilizing visitors and patients at hospitals and vital places at the University

Benha University Council under presidency of DrGamal El Saeed, Benha University President honored DrAmr Hanafy, Head of Surveying Department at Shoubra Faculty of Engineering for his efforts to limit spread of Corona Virus after his participation at the National Planning center. DrAmr Hanafy has designed a digital system to follow Corona Virus spread in Egypt according to districts and governorates and to know numbers of infected and death people.
