In the frame of preparing for the new academic year 2013/2014; Prof. Dr. Gamal Sousa, the General Supervisor of Benha University Hostels confirmed that the University seeks to improve the service provided by the Hostels throughout a group of development procedures that will provide high quality meals and restaurants according to descriptions of the ministry of health and population. He added that the development procedures include providing wireless internet and suitable environment in rooms for studying. The Embassy of Oman in Cairo announces for scholarships of 2013/2014. The admission will be in higher education institutes inside the program as following:
- Institute of Islamic Sciences 65%.
- Higher College of Technology 80%.
- Colleges of Applied Sciences 80%.
- Sultan Qaboos Uinversity (except for the College of Medicine and Health Sciences).

Benha University announced for the admission requirements for English departments at the faculties of commerce, law, arts. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim, the dean of the faculty of commerce confirmed that the minimum marks for applying to the English division are 40 in English. He also said that the faculty will accept 15% from regular students at the faculty.
