Every minute a beekeeper spends away from the apiary, conditions inside the hive change. Temperatures may drop on a cold winter night, rise sharply during a summer heatwave, or humidity may increase to levels that affect honey quality and the hive's internal environment. In traditional hives, such changes often go unnoticed until the next visit — sometimes too late for corrective action.

A team of students from the Department of Plant Pathology, Faculty of Agriculture at Moshtohor, Benha University, has succeeded in devising an innovative biological solution to combat brown rot disease—one of the most serious threats to potato crops and food security.

Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, the university organized an international workshop on bacterial isolation methods for students of the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor.

Major Genera l Abdel Hamid El-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, and Dr. Gamal Sosa, President of Benha University inaugurated the Sustainable Development and Climate Change Unit at the headquarters of Agriculture Faculty in Moshtohor, in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Maghraby Iraqi, the Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zabalawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the Faculty of agriculture deputies .

Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the acting president of Benha University issued several decisions which included the following; Dr. Abd El Fattah Munjed Abd El Fattah as the head of Zoology department at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Abu Bakr Mohamed Farag as the head of Pharmacology department at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Dr.El Sayed Hassan Mohamed as the head of agricultural economics departments .Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy hopes for them best wishes and great success at their new positions.

Prof.Dr.Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President and the head of Leaders Selection Committee announced that the final list of candidates for faculty of Agriculture deanship after closing appeals door is as following;

Benha University congratulates Prof. Dr. Maher Hasab El Naby Khali, the supervisor of the University Scientific Researches Fund and the Advisor to the University President for the Scientific Research for getting the State Merit Award in the agriculture science field 2015.

Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University has opened the Annual Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor under the title of” Agriculture in Egypt and modern challenges” on Monday, 09/05/2016.
