114 Years Since the Establishment of the First Academic Entity at Benha University

The first nucleus of the Faculty of Agriculture at Benha University was established in 1911, with Moshtehar, one of the villages in Kalyobiya Governorate, chosen as the location for a medium agricultural school. This school was later converted in 1942 into a branch of the Faculty of Agriculture at Cairo University, continuing in this capacity for three years before resuming its role as a secondary agricultural school.
In 1957, it became the Higher Agricultural Institute, and in 1975, the Higher Agricultural Institute in Moshtehar was transformed into the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in Moshtehar, affiliated with Helwan University. In 1976, the faculty was incorporated into Zagazig University, Branch of Benha.
