This has positively impacted the university's rankings in international assessments that measure universities' commitment to sustainable development indicators and achieving their goals.
Prof. El-Gizawy added that the Benha University Ambassadors for Sustainable Development and Climate initiative aimed to build the capacities of faculty members and the supportive staff at the university in the field of sustainable development, making them ambassadors for sustainability and climate, and promoting a culture of sustainable development within the university and the surrounding community. This was achieved through a series of training courses and practical field practices that included development patterns, Sustainable Development Goals, and an understanding of the National Climate Change Strategy 2050.
It is noteworthy that the training course lasted for three months and concluded with a graduation project for each member of the initiative.
